Baked donuts for Hanukkah (30 servings)
Number of servings: 30 pieces
Serving size: small
Preparation time: 1 hour (not including rising time)
Customized texture: 7 IDDSI accustomed
Ingredients:
1 kg white flour
2 tablespoons dry yeast/50 grams fresh yeast
A quarter cup of sugar
A teaspoon and a half of salt
2 medium eggs
200 grams of soft butter, cut into small cubes
Jam jar to fill
Powdered sugar for sprinkling on top
How to prepare:
Mix the flour and sugar in a mixer with a dough hook. Add the salt.
Gradually add the eggs and Easy Milk/Easy Daily and knead for 2 minutes until the ingredients come together.
Continue kneading and gradually add the butter.
Knead for another 5 minutes until you get a uniform and slightly sticky dough.
Let rise for about two hours, until the dough doubles in volume. Sprinkle flour on the work surface, transfer the dough to the surface, and prick it to remove the air.
Cover and refrigerate for an hour. Remove from the refrigerator and roll out to a thickness of 2 cm.
Cut out circles with a diameter of 10 cm. Arrange 12 circles on a muffin tin (with 12 cavities).
Place a teaspoon of jam of your favorite flavor in the middle, cover with another circle of dough and seal the edges. Let rise for another hour at room temperature.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Bake for about half an hour until browned.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
Enjoy your meal and happy holidays!
