Manna ears are enriched with protein

Number of servings: 30 servings

Preparation time: 60 minutes

Ingredients for the dough:

200 grams soft butter

100 grams powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg ( L )

350 grams of sifted plain flour (2.5 cups)

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

3 tablespoons whey protein powder – Easy Whey (about 50 grams)

Ingredients for poppy seed filling:

1.5 cups freshly ground poppy seeds

3 tablespoons Easy Way whey protein powder

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup milk

25 grams butter

1/2 cup ground almonds into powder

1 tablespoon honey

Ingredients for the date and cocoa filling:

1 block of pitted dates (500 g)

50 grams butter

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

3 tablespoons of fine cocoa (30 g)

3 tablespoons brown sugar, Demerara sugar

3 tablespoons whey protein powder – Easy Whey

To prepare the dough:

Knead the butter and powdered sugar for a minute in a mixer with a dough hook.

Add the egg and vanilla extract and continue mixing. Stop the mixer and add the flour and baking powder. Continue to process until a dough forms, about a minute.

Form the dough into a ball with your hands and wrap it in cling film, which we chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Roll out thinly and cut out circles using a cutter or cup and fill with your favorite filling.

Close into a Haman’s ear shape and tighten tightly, so that the Haman’s ears do not open during baking (important!)

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 12-14 minutes. After the hamann ears have cooled, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar for decoration.

To prepare poppy seed filling:

Boil the milk, sugar, butter and honey. Add the poppy seeds and ground almonds. Cool well.

*Fill each ear of manna with a flat spoonful of the filling (about 15 grams).

To prepare the date and cocoa filling:

Using a wooden spoon, mash the date mass and butter until softened and fully mixed, over low heat. Add the cocoa, sugar and cinnamon. Cool thoroughly.

*Fill each ear of manna with a tablespoon and a half of the filling (about 21 grams).
